CSC secures $27m govt contract
IT services provider CSC has won a one-year $27 million contract from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to provide scanning, indexing, and file management operations at a records digitisation facility, reports Computer Business Online.
It will provide file-maintenance services and electronic access to records, including temporary and account files, and imaged data at various USCIS offices.
The deal was originally awarded to Datatrac Information Systems in 2006 with an estimated contract value of $150 million over five years. CSC acquired Datatrac in December 2006.
Emproris acquires CM business
Emptoris has purchased Click Commerce's contract and service management business, says Modern Materials Handling.
Avner Schneur, Empotis' president and CEO, says: “Emptoris' acquisition of Click Commerce's contract and service management business helps expand our offering and customer base in a highly complementary manner, and further extends Emptoris' leadership in the supply and contract management market.”
Schneur says Emptoris will continue and extend the investment in Click Commerce CSM's research and development, and that Emptoris is committed to continuing to work with Click Commerce's partners.
Momentum Consortium wins $900m deal
Bowdens Group, as a key consultant to the Momentum Consortium, will deliver the Sydney Water Watermains Renewal Programme Alliance valued at approximately A$900 million (R5.7 billion) for the potential duration of the next seven years, states Press Release Point.
The consortium will be involved in providing contract management, environmental impact assessment, communications and commissioning.
The Sydney Water Watermains Renewal Programme Alliance will replace pipes in areas which have a history of leaks and breaks to ensure the network can support more than four million people in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains.
