The Computer Society of South Africa, in conjunction with the Information Industry of South Africa, will be hosting the `President`s Banquet` on 1 November 2000 at the Wanderer`s Club. Now in its eighth year, this prestigious function has been established as the `IT networking event of the year`.
Hosted by CSSA President, Peter Aspinall, the function will see the presentation of Computerweek`s coveted CIO of the Year Award, as well as ITWeb`s IT Personality of the Year Award.
In addition, the Department of Trade and Industry will be announcing the Information and Communication Technology strategy for the future.
Peter Aspinall has urged those in the IT industry who wish to attend the banquet to book their tickets as soon as possible as numbers are limited. All proceeds from the function will go towards furthering the aims and objectives of the CSSA.
