An alliance between Microzone Public Relations and its client, FOXit, continues to show the power that resides within a well-crafted, expertly executed PR strategy.

It has been a year since Microzone Public Relations entered into a full PR services agreement with Centurion-based FOXit, a national provider of enterprise project management (EPM) and project and portfolio management (PPM) in business.

The two companies struck a deal in August 2011 to lift FOXit's public profile, generate and sustain awareness within the ultra-competitive ICT market, and engage the media to communicate the views and insight of its leadership.

Aldo van Tonder, CEO of FOXit, says the relationship has been successful and the company has certainly secured a return on the investment.

"A year into this partnership and we can honestly say that it has yielded a return. Our profile has been significantly raised and there is a secure channel of communication into the market that we continue to leverage off," says Van Tonder.

"We knew from the moment we first met with the Microzone PR team that the company had experience as well as knowledge of the current environment to add immediate value," he continues. "There are several key characteristics that a communications service provider must have in order to make sense of a multimedia environment and effectively apply a strategy for clients within the ICT sector."

Among the characteristics Van Tonder refers to are fast turnaround time, professionalism and a keen sense of the influence of emerging trends on communication strategies, including social networking and design.

But it is the ability to mesh these characteristics and align them to the advantage of the client that truly differentiates service providers.

It is an approach that has worked successfully for FOXit and suits the nature of its business, its growth strategy and its overall focus.

Account management at Microzone PR say they have increased their client's social networking and blog stats by 400%, strategically setting this up alongside case studies and thought leadership articles.

"FOXit gave us a 'shake-up' of what companies need today. PR agencies often use a 'recipe' to do their jobs, but we became aware of how important social media is for certain segments in the market, for instance. FOXit brought a positive vibe into the market, and at events, we could see that most of the attendees from large corporates definitely require a 'positive injection' - that being innovation, out-of-the-box thinking and agility," comments Gloria Malan, PR Manager and Publicist at Microzone PR.
