Cape Town-based Gush Technologies has developed a browser-based customer relationship management (CRM) solution aimed at giving local companies the chance to prove the concept and value of CRM without the associated expense.
"CustomerHarvester is suitable for any company with one customer or more," says Gary Stanley, Gush Technologies CEO. "Initially we are aiming at companies with up to 500 employees, but this is an enterprise standard application with enough scalability to match international CRM players in terms of functionality at roughly half the price."
Former 20Twenty chief architect, Stanley led the team that developed the CustomerHarvester solution. He says the launch of the on-demand version will enable organisations that do not have technical departments the opportunity to discover the value of CRM.
"This is a best of breed CRM solution, and the on-demand version provides a low risk way of trying it out," says Stanley. "Depending on whether customers choose the installed or on-demand version of CustomerHarvester, all costs are rand-based, consequently making the solution more affordable and more accessible to local businesses."
Stanley explains that his development team was able to make the solution more affordable than its competitors by making it a self-contained Web-based application that does not require any additional software or hardware investment.
"Our research and development costs were also very low, which means we were profitable from day one," says Stanley. "Being built on Microsoft .Net also means it is fully configurable to companies` needs and can be integrated with multiple legacy systems."
Stanley says Gush has learned much from the pilot implementation of CustomerHarvester at Nashua. Andreas van der Horst, Nashua project manager, says Gush`s CRM solution has gone a long way in helping Nashua maintain a customer-centric focus and strengthen its leadership in the marketplace.
