Cyber harassers favour e-mail

E-mail and instant messaging, and not social networking sites such as MySpace, are the top methods used to bully people online, according to Internet experts, says FOX News.

Researchers studying the trend of cyber stalking are highlighting their findings as many struggle to come to terms with the death of 13-year-old Megan Meier, who took her own life after being taunted on MySpace.

Studies conducted by the cyber-stalking advocacy group Working to Halt Online Abuse, show that 31% of reported cases of Internet harassment began through e-mail, and 17% through IM in 2006, the most recent year for which statistics are available.

TeleMessage, a subsidiary of Messaging International, has been listed in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA. The company was ranked number 122 on the list, states TMC Net.

In addition to the ranking on Deloitte`s Technology Fast 500 EMEA list, TeleMessage was included in the Deloitte Israel Technology Fast 50 Awards, ranked number 14.
