CYMA adds HR functionality

Accounting and payroll software provider CYMA Systems has added a human resources product to its expanding suite of business software offerings, according to PRWeb.

CYMA's Web-based HR system, CYMA HR, provides the bridge between CYMA's payroll software and the employee management needs of its customer base.

"CYMA payroll is used in thousands of locations across the US. One of the most requested additions has been that of a human resources integration." says Sheila Merryman, VP of operations.

Online payroll provider SurePayroll now offers a suite of stand-alone services that help employers evaluate job candidates and hire the right person the first time, states Advertiser Talk.

The services - background checks, behavioural assessments, skills testing, personal development and drug screening - are available independent of SurePayroll's payroll processing products with no long-term contracts or commitments.

This enables SMEs to purchase any of the services at their hiring pace.

HR and payroll software provider Ultimate Software Group says its third-quarter loss shrank to $469 000 as revenue grew, reports Associated Press.

The company said its loss for the quarter ended 30 September worked out to 2c per share. That was an improvement from a year-ago loss of almost $3.1 million, or 12c per share.

Revenue grew 9.8% to $48.2 million from $43.9 million a year ago.
