D-Link, supplier of networking products, has announced the availability of its DI-701 Residential Gateway which protects computers against hackers or unwanted users.
According to D-Link branch sales manager, Attie Pienaar, it is the easiest and safest way to share your high-speed Internet connection with a DSL Modem or Cable Modem.
"The DI-701 will act as a firewall for your PC to protect your computer from unwanted intruders. If someone tries to access you PC without your knowledge the DI-701 will stop them in their tracks," continues Pienaar.
D-Link`s DI-701 residential gateway allows up to 32 simultaneous computers to connect to Internet through the same ISP account. The DI-701 employs a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) that provides dynamic allocation of IP addresses for up to 128 clients on your network.
"The DI-701 residential gateway is very flexible and will connect to any Ethernet Devices and multiple types of machines and operating system," concludes Pienaar.
