D-Link forms alliance with TheGreenBow to offer advanced security to virtual private networks

Johannesburg, 29 Apr 2009

D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced TheGreenBow has joined D-Link's Global Alliance Program (GAP) by becoming a Solutions Partner. TheGreenBow's specialisation and expertise in VPN Client Software will enable D-Link to extend its portfolio of remote access solutions to the Small and Medium Business (SME) market worldwide.

Through collaborative efforts, both companies have certified all ranges in D-Link's VPN product portfolio, including its VPN routers, its DIR and DI family, and in addition, D-Link's NetDefend Firewall series.

TheGreenBow VPN Client software comes with full IPSec and IKE support and strong network authentication, including two-way factor/OTP token, smart cards or digital certificates. It integrates seamlessly with corporate infrastructures such as LDAP or RADIUS servers, has robust network encryption through DES, 3DES, AES and RSA, and furthermore supports multiple connection types such as Ethernet, cellular, WiFi and multiple simultaneous tunnels.

“The SME market requires easy to use and easy to deploy software, with the highest level of security available. TheGreenBow VPN Client Software, coupled with D-Link's networking products, will provide a strong, secure, yet very simple solution to securely extend enterprise applications such as e-mail and CRM to mobile workforces,” says Roger Simon, co-founder and CEO of TheGreenBow. “We are proud that D-Link has chosen our technology to bring a powerful yet innovative solution to its clients worldwide.”

“By pairing TheGreenBow's IPSec VPN client with D-Link security products we will be able to offer a more comprehensive, secure and complete end-to-end remote access solution to our customers worldwide,” affirms Tony Tsao, CEO and President of D-Link Corporation. “VPN solutions are a critical part of the solutions we offer and we are excited to partner with a strong player in this market."
