D-Link poised to take SA market by storm

Johannesburg, 17 May 2000

Following the recent launch of its Authorised Reseller Programme (ARP), products supplier D-Link is well-poised to rapidly expand its presence in the South African market.

"Reaction to the new programme, which coincides with the launch of our new web site - www.d-link.co.za - has been phenomenal," says branch manager: sales Attie Pienaar. "Resellers are very excited about D-Link`s product offering, and are keen to begin marketing to their clients."

The ARP was launched at gala evenings held at the Sandton Sun and Rosebank hotels in Johannesburg. "The functions were extremely well-attended, far beyond our expectations," says Pienaar. Similar receptions will also be held at Cape Town venues.

The new ARP follows on the announcement earlier this year by D-Link International president Tony Tsao to increase market share in South Africa by 20 percent. "I have made it my primary goal to strengthen the cooperation between D-Link and its distributors, resellers and customers," Tsao said.

"I believe that it is in countries such as South Africa that we can have a most favorable effect on businesses."
