Dac Systems, a local provider of turnkey solutions based primarily on Microsoft products, is using its understanding of the PPM (project and portfolio management) and SharePoint market to strengthen local uptake of workflow and forms software from Nintex, the largest independent software vendor (ISV) in the Microsoft SharePoint product space.

This insight into the market and experience has placed Dac Systems as one of the leading Nintex partners in South Africa. It has perfected a solution-orientated view of how to present and propose the Nintex products to the South African market.

A core objective of the alliance is to elevate the status of South Africa in terms of dominance in the SharePoint workflow environment. "This is not the same locally as it is in the rest of the world, and this partnership aims to propel South Africa forward and place it on an equal footing with global counterparts in terms of this specialised technology environment," says Aldo van Tonder, Solutions Executive, Dac Systems.

Local businesses benefit from the partnership through access to products that provide the capability to rapidly drive process, with the added advantage of extensive reach into highly functional forms capability. The entire environment is also available in a mobile platform.

"Dac Systems is also one of the first movers in terms of Nintex Workflow and Nintex Forms for Office 365 products and this is effectively taken to market via SharePoint online," Van Tonder adds.

Going forward, the alliance will focus on generating awareness of available products and helping clients to create world-class solutions using the Nintex platform.

They have identified the opportunity to move to Office 365 in the cloud as a game-changer that will have critical implications for users.

Dac Systems has, over the past 12 months, created various industry leading solutions using the Nintex product set; these include McMethod.net and Nintex Primer.

McMethod.net is an end-to-end project process management tool, developed in conjunction with project management specialist services company, McManus Consulting, built on Microsoft PPM, designed to help organisations apply clear, repeatable project processes. This tool helps users control projects according to a selected project type or methodology.

Nintex Primer offers organisations the ability to fast-track Nintex product implementation and training, ensuring optimum levels of productivity.

Perry Gale, Nintex VP Sales for EMEA, explains the approach the partnership is taking is directly aligned with Nintex core principles of workflow for everyone, everywhere.

"We have an outstanding relationship with Dac Systems and they form a key part of our long-term objective to provide quick and easy workflow solutions across South Africa. Dac are leading the way with some innovative and unique approaches to driving rapid value and ROI for their customers. The fact that they are one of the earliest adopters worldwide of our Office 365 solutions is a great example of their innovation. Nintex has been hugely successful around the globe by concentrating on producing the very best technology and coming to market through partners like Dac, who use their skills and knowledge of their customers to turn the technology into real business value."
