The homeowners' association of Dainfern has implemented Striata's e-billing solution for the secure delivery of levy statements by e-mail.
A premier residential golf estate north of Johannesburg, Dainfern comprises more than 1 100 homes, with approximately 45 houses currently under construction. With plans to build to a maximum of 1 235 homes on the estate, the homeowners' association is responsible for communication with homeowners and delivery of levy statements.
Says Heath Turner, Business Development Manager at Striata: "The homeowners' association of Dainfern is essentially a business with over a thousand customers. Electronic billing will assist them to reduce the cost of distribution of statements, and improve their statement delivery times."
Gary de Jager, Financial Manager of the homeowners' association, sees this as a major step towards streamlining the management of the estate.
"Dainfern residents are by nature ahead of the pack when it comes to new technologies. The introduction of electronic levy statements will benefit both the association and its members by improving efficiency on both sides."
The ease of use of Striata e-billing will ensure that homeowners embrace the new process. "Many of our residents will be immediately comfortable with Striata's secure e-mail process as they already receive other monthly bills, such as bank and DStv statements, through Striata's process."
Turner adds that the cost of sending statements electronically is less than half the cost of delivering a physical paper statement. "Future plans are to include payment options on the electronic statement to simplify the task of collecting and reconciling levy payments."
