Damovo and NET converge

A solution which allows from legacy networks to VOIP environments has been launched by Damovo and Equipment Technologies (NET), according to a press statement.

Damovo, a telecommunications solutions and services provider and NET, a provider of communication appliances, launched NET`s Shout VOIP migration appliance (VMA) in Brazil.

The Shout VMA aids enterprises with the migration by interconnecting multi-vendor PBX and call centre environments with next generation VOIP applications across IP networks.

Shout`s multi-vendor, multi-protocol support, combined with its ability to support open standards such as SIP, enables enterprises to reduce implementation and capital costs when integrating their existing networks with VOIP technologies.

Meru and Juniper partner

Meru Networks and Juniper Networks are co-marketing their wireless VOIP products and services, reports TMCnet.

According to the announcement, the agreement calls for Meru to join Juniper`s J-Partner Infrastructure Alliance programme as a preferred member, and "immediately begin collaborating with Juniper on several fronts, including joint sales engagements and other co-marketing activities."

"Juniper`s IP and security solutions combined with Meru`s wireless LAN portfolio provides a unique solution for the growing wireless VOIP market," said Tony Scarfo, VP of partner management, at Juniper.

The new agreement will enable both companies to bundle Juniper`s IP routing and security offering with Meru`s air traffic control technology for WLANs, in order to enable IP voice for mobile enterprise users.
