Daphne Mashile-Nkosi has been appointed to the board of Choice Technologies, a DNS Group joint venture partner and black empowerment company. Mashile-Nkosi has joined the company as business development director. Her career includes a 14 year span in rural development in South Africa. She launched Mayibuye Computer Services in 1996. She holds diplomas in Development Economics from a Japanese university and certificates in Human Resources, Business Management and Marketing from Wits Business School. Mashile-Nkosi says her goals include the development of technical skills within disadvantaged communities. She also intends to encourage small business growth in these communities, forming joint ventures between Choice Technologies and emerging black-owned information technology enterprises to foster human resource development.
