Data Junction Corporation, developer of the world's most widely deployed integration solutions, and Emory University's Winship Cancer Institute, a leader in cancer patient care and research, today announced they have received an InfoWorld award for the innovative use of technology.
Data Junction and Emory ranked 10th in a list of 100 companies that are responding to continuing economic woes by investing in innovative technology projects that aim to streamline business processes, improve customer service and make their employees' jobs easier. This is the third major industry award Data Junction has received in the last two months.
Emory University uses Data Junction integration technology to unify data across multiple systems for use in its "Oncopharmacogenomic Informatic Application". At its heart, this complex application has a data warehouse comprised of data from patient charts, a cancer registry, clinical trials, lab results, medical records and various other data sources, all of it integrated using Data Junction products.
"We are sincerely appreciative of the recognition by InfoWorld. Emory is not only doing great work with our technology, they are doing great work for science and healthcare," said Mike Hoskins, president of Data Junction.
"This is the second consecutive year that industry authorities are ending the year by decorating Data Junction with several honours," continues Hoskins. "So far we have won nearly 20 major awards, and we will announce more later this year. It shows the experts believe we are a major thought leader in the integration industry."
