Business transactions conducted by e-mail are now more secure and easier to manage. Sole local IXOS SOFTWARE AG representative, Datacentrix has announced the new IXOS-eCONserver for MS Exchange 1.9, which will allow companies to automatically log and archive all incoming and outgoing electronic messages as well as manage a high/low watermark, ensuring users easily stay within their mailbox size limit.
According to Rob Shaw, product marketing manager at Datacentrix, enterprises, such as banks and financial institutions, that are required to retain all incoming and outgoing mails related to postings and stock purchases/sales in a searchable form for several years, will benefit from the ease-of-management and retrieval ability of the journaling functionality.
"The new high/low watermark archiving guarantees space available on the Exchange server. When a mailbox reaches a pre-defined size limit, the excess e-mails are automatically archived until the mailbox is again within the pre-defined minimum, freeing up administration time and expense," he explains.
Administrators can also set up subfolders, the contents of which are automatically archived at preset intervals (automatic subfolder archiving). IXOS-eCONserver for MS Exchange 1.9 supports the Enterprise Edition of the MS Exchange Server.
