IT infrastructure, solutions and services provider, Datacentrix, has appointed Kenny Nkosi as business unit manager for its second Pretoria government business unit.
With around 25 years of working experience, Nkosi joined the IT industry more than 20 years ago, and was employed among others by Silicon Graphics, Comparex (Millsoft), Real Global Business Solutions and Faritec over this period.
Nkosi also has a strong business administration background, underpinned by five years of commercial experience in various roles. His most recent responsibilities include a stint at Real Global Business Solutions in the capacity of executive director responsible for sales and marketing prior to joining Faritec, where he headed up the public sector division.
Datacentrix Infrastructure MD, Ahmed Mahomed, believes Nkosi`s wealth of experience within the market, and specifically within the government sector, will assist the company in growing the business in this market space.
"Kenny`s sound management skills and experience within the local IT industry were key factors in his appointment. With government business forming part of Datacentrix`s organic growth strategy, we feel his expertise will add immense value to the company and take the business in this segment to a new level."
Nkosi maintains that both Datacentrix`s executive leadership and operational team, which displays the necessary commitment, expertise and comprehension of the government business, as well as the organisation`s nation-wide footprint contribute to its standing within this market segment. "My role will be more to provide strategic guidance and leadership to my team so that we can entrench the `trusted advisor` status with our existing and new customers. This will assist in accelerating our partnership engagement model with the public sector partners," he concludes.
