Datacentrix attains Citrix Gold Partner status

Access infrastructure solution provider, Citrix Systems has awarded IT infrastructure and solutions provider, Datacentrix, Gold Partner Status.

According to Citrix country manager, Chris Norton, the prerequisites for a Gold Citrix Solutions Network (CSN) Partner Status are technical competence through certified skills acquisition and maintenance and revenue commitments in terms of business focus around the solutions that Citrix provides.

"We sell our Access Suite of products through a channel model exclusively and Datacentrix has been a Citrix partner at a Silver level for many years," he says. "The strong vertical focus that Datacentrix has in certain sectors of commerce in SA is synergistic with the objectives of Citrix Systems in the region."

"As a Silver level Partner, Datacentrix had two Citrix Certified Administrators (CCAs) and a Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP)," says Shawn Winterburn, senior account manager at Datacentrix. "As a Gold Partner, we`ve upped the game by skilling up three CCAs, two CCSPs and a Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)."

Says Norton: "The focus from a company of Datacentrix`s standing in the South African IT industry is rewarding and has been acknowledged through its elevation in status. We commend the company`s commitment to maintaining a consistent and competent skills base to service its extensive customer base with best of breed technologies like those offered by Citrix Systems."

Norton confirms that Datacentrix will be able to leverage its enhanced level of support from Citrix`s Dublin-based support centre to the advantage of customers, as well as receive marketing support and benefit from Citrix`s global lead generation campaigns.

"In addition to this, there is also the prestigious status that comes with being one of only a handful of CSN Gold Partners in SA," he adds.

"For the future, Citrix sees our relationship with Datacentrix extending to all the regions in the country and the partnership delivering even more value to Datacentrix`s already extensive installed base of Citrix customers and prospective customers. As a long-standing Citrix partner, we see this latest investment as an acknowledgement of Datacentrix`s commitment to Citrix as a technology and its customers` investments in the past, present and future."

As a Gold Partner, Datacentrix will also be in a better position to take on more complex Citrix implementations, thanks to an improved skills base, says Winterburn. "Our new standing allows us to offer our customers a Citrix solution, not merely product."
