IT infrastructure and solution provider, Datacentrix, has been awarded a three-year full hosted services contract to roll-out and manage the operation of Microsoft Business Solutions` Great Plains software to food manufacturer, Pride Milling.
"Following Pride Milling`s decision to move away from a mainframe IT environment, Datacentrix was asked to advise on the most fitting solution for this type of setting," explains Charl Joubert, managing director for Datacentrix Solutions. "We believe that the customisation ability of Microsoft Great Plains is unparalleled. If there are specific requirements, they can be easily accommodated.
"The fact that Microsoft, the largest software developer in the world with approximately 93% of the desktop market, made a significant investment in Great Plains was also an important influencing factor in our recommendation," he adds.
The Great Plains migration project kicked off in January and Joubert expects the organisation`s IT side to be a fully outsourced operation by July.
Datacentrix is a Microsoft Business Solutions partner and was recently awarded the Leadership Award at the Microsoft Business Solutions annual partner conference.
