Datacentrix sharpens leadership team for further growth

Pretoria, 10 Oct 2007

Black-empowered IT solutions and services provider, Datacentrix, has announced the appointment of two new executive members: Kelebone Tekateka, as the head of Infrastructure Division, based in Pretoria (which is the largest division by turnover for the group); and Vernon Tutton as the head of Services Division.

"Both appointments are necessitated primarily by Datacentrix`s strong growth in the last few years and the recent changes on the board and management teams, but it is also our strategic move to balance the executive leadership team and the level of maturity as the company continues to grow," says Gerhard Uys, CEO of Datacentrix.

Tekateka has lived in many other parts of the world for 14 years, including Canada and Washington. Her experience and background includes IT project management and she holds a Bachelor degree in science.

Tutton`s background is as an electronic engineer by profession, specialising in strategic research and development projects, of which some are currently being used around the world. Having managed larger but similar businesses locally and in Africa, he brings a number of value added benefits to Datacentrix, including a wealth of practical management expertise in the IT and service industries in general.

With the booming economic developments in the country, growing industry challenges, including service and quality skills, as well as opportunities in South Africa, Datacentrix needs to position itself as a key role-player by continuously strengthening its resources to be able to meet the dynamic needs of its customers, both new and existing.

According to the chairman, Gary Morolo, Datacentrix is a growing, solid company, with a dynamic customer and partner focus and a strong performance-driven culture. "I am pleased with the appointments and believe that both executives will not only sharpen the company and help position it strongly when it comes to matters of transformation, but they will also add value to the organisation and assist in growing the business further," he concludes.
