Datacentrix wins IBM business partner award

Johannesburg, 22 Mar 2005

IT infrastructure and solutions provider, Datacentrix`s contribution to the IBM channel has been recognised with the "Intel growth as an authorised business partner 2004" award, announced at the multinational IT giant`s recent Business Partner Awards ceremony, held at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The annual awards honour the top IBM business partners and winners are drawn from over 40 companies based throughout SA. According to channel executive at IBM, Johnny Gounden, this year`s winners demonstrated excellence in driving revenue, innovation, loyalty and stature in the IBM business partner community.

Dion Visagie, sales director at Datacentrix, adds that the award shows that the company has been recognised as a significant IBM partner across many areas. "Datacentrix has been consistent in delivering on the IBM account, seeing particularly healthy growth in the server business.

"Add to this our considerable success in the PC and notebook arenas and it can be seen that Datacentrix is a vital cog in the IBM channel."

Says Gounden: "IBM`s business partners are critical to our overall success. Acknowledging our top IBM business partners who have the ability to formulate and market solutions using multiple bouquets of IBM offerings is always important. Datacentrix has more than convinced us in this regard."
