E-business solutions firm Datalogic is looking for resellers of its products in the growing South African handheld reader market.
Speaking at a Datalogic roadshow in Johannesburg early this week, Marcello Petrucci, sales director of the company`s mobile systems division, said SA is a "strategic country" with the potential to compete with other European countries in the handheld reader market.
Petrucci said the rapidly growing open retail market in SA offers a great opportunity for resellers to take advantage of the handheld reader and mobile computer market.
"Our intention is to have solutions providers or resellers in SA to market and sell Datalogic handheld devices. In return, we will invest in companies partnering with us, form long-lasting relationships with them and contribute to the South African economy," said Petrucci.
He added that Datalogic also plans to develop specific tools for SA and make a direct investment in marketing.
Petrucci said Datalogic has existing partnerships with two local companies: DCI and Harmonic Group. Both companies provide business solutions for data management, e-business, mobile computers and handheld products.
