In a joint statement made today, AltX and DataPro Group Limited announced the approval of the process of DataPro`s listing on AltX. DataPro, the leading Internet service provider (ISP), the only to be listed in SA, is set to take to the AltX board in October.
DataPro will initially list on the Development Capital Market, via a reverse listing into Casey Investment. This will be followed shortly by a transfer to AltX and a change of name to DataPro Group Limited.
Douglas Reed, Managing Director of DataPro, said: "We have carefully assessed our position and believe that an AltX listing is an important step in the future strategy of the company. AltX presents us with a very good platform to continue leveraging the best return on investment for investors, grow our business, create investment opportunities, and generate greater market exposure.
"DataPro is perfectly sized for AltX, focused on organic growth, and has empowered shareholding. We believe that we can become the favourite of AltX, the same way Cisco was for Nasdaq."
Commenting for AltX, Manager of AltX, Noah Greenhill, said: "We look forward to DataPro`s listing on AltX. DataPro is a quality company which will introduce an investment alternative in the telecommunications market, and will also enhance investor confidence in the new market."
DataPro marks the third successful application to AltX for designated advisor, Arcay Group. "We are pleased to have achieved another milestone for AltX, this time introducing the first ISP to list. DataPro is an exciting company which we believe will attract the attention of the investing public and deliver on expectations," comments Arcay Group CEO, Kevin de Villiers.
DataPro is a niche telecommunications company. The company is currently rated among the top five ISPs in SA. It has a substantial customer base, one of the most advanced networks in the world, and provides a basket of communication products and services to a diverse range of businesses.
The largest portion of DataPro`s business is annuity-based with contracted revenue. The company is generating both cash and profits from its customer base of over 3 000.
