The resignation of DataPro`s financial director, James Herbst, announced today, will allow him to pursue other corporate finance opportunities, says DataPro MD Douglas Reed.
A Stock Exchange News Service announcement today says Herbst, who became financial director on the listing of DataPro in October last year, would leave the board immediately.
Reed says Herbst was originally financial director of the company DataPro reverse listed into last year and on listing, assumed that role at the DataPro Group. Herbst was also instrumental in DataPro`s recent acquisition of dial-up Internet service provider @tlantic Internet Services for R45 million.
"He stayed on until we had bedded down that deal. It was on the cards that he would leave as he has come under a lot of pressure to pursue other corporate finance opportunities. James added a lot of value to DataPro and there is no bad blood between us," Reed says.
He adds that the company has embarked on a period of consolidation that will ensure its operational efficiencies are carried out, increase sales of its products and build a sustainable business.
