DataPro Group announces new faxing solution

Johannesburg, 06 Apr 2006

Listed telecommunications group, DataPro, has announced the launch of its electronic faxing division, ProFax. The company will focus on the delivery of integrated e-mail to fax solutions to traditional legacy fax users.

Martin Kuhlmann, MD of ProFax, said: "Faxing is big business. The South African faxing market is currently a billion-rand industry, comprising more than 200 million minutes monthly and growing, according to Telkom. Even more exciting is the fact that e-mail to fax technology currently only comprises around 5 million minutes monthly. Obviously we have identified this as a huge growth area, not only for our own business but also to add value to our other companies within the DataPro Group stable."

Kuhlmann added: "Our sole purpose is to facilitate quick, hassle-free fax communication channelled directly to the intended recipient, thereby not only saving the recipient time but in the process dramatically reducing the costs associated with traditional fax solutions."

The ProFax is delivered from a faxing platform developed by a Proudly South African company - FaxPl@form. The platform encompasses all the major features included in other faxing solutions in the market, but boasts a paradigm shift with regard to the market penetration strategy, techniques and processes.

Our intention is to facilitate a friendly user environment whereby the user can logon and manage their own account as well as refer/invite their colleagues, friends and family to use this system, thus saving them money.

"Anybody wanting to pursue a business opportunity may also benefit from our `agent` reselling model."

"Our future plans include giving corporate customers a possible rebate on using our faxing service as well as adding other value-added communication tools. We will release more information in this regard later this year."

ProFax will deliver services to a broad spectrum of users from home users to large corporations with multiple branches and hundreds of individual users.
