AltX-listed telecommunications company, DataPro, has announced the launch of a new Internet marketing division that will provide the technology required by companies to run online marketing and advertising campaigns.
The new division, called Spin Off Studios, plans to work closely with advertising agencies to offer the marketplace an "integrated approach to online marketing". This is according to the newly appointed manager of Spin Off Studios, Maggie Cubitt.
"DataPro`s electronic marketing division has always provided the company`s data clients with the traditional peripheral services associated with Internet technology, including Web design, newsletter design and hosting. Within the context of Spin Off Studios, we have taken this a step further and are broadening our horizons to clients DataPro hasn`t traditionally focused on. We see our role as being symbiotic with the ad agencies."
Cubitt said the online market, as a medium for reaching clients and prospects, has become mainstream, adding that it is important that this "fast-emerging medium be offered to the general marketplace".
"We use this medium to equip our clients with one-to-one marketing products and services which add real value and show a return on investment by helping to drive sales, and in the process also act as a brand building medium."
The services offered by Spin Off Studios complement ad-agencies` existing campaigns by conceptualising one-to-one e-marketing strategies that complete the media mix by adding the electronic and online components. These include integrated e-mail and viral marketing, online advertising and search engine optimisation.
"Applications for Internet marketing in the branding and CRM areas in the current connection economy are just too valuable to be a flash in the pan. Essentially," said Cubitt, "we build the engines to provide clever marketing programmes and are well-positioned to operate as technical partners in mixed media marketing teams."
