Premier Internet service provider (ISP), DataPro, has announced the launch of its Wireless Internet Access Solution. The solution is aimed at businesses in the large metropolitan areas, and more specifically businesses like restaurants, hotels and conference venues.
Martin Kuhlmann of DataPro said: "Our aim is to provide businesses like restaurants, hotels, conference venues, and shopping centres with WiFi access areas (hotspots), enabling visitors to effortlessly connect to the Internet via high-speed access points, strategically placed within popular public areas.
"DataPro has taken an alternative approach to wireless hotspots, offering business owners and property management agents a fully outsourced, risk-free solution. This means that restaurants and hotels can now offer guests WiFi access within their establishments without expensive mostly service fees. Guests will purchase access on a per minutes prepaid basis, much like cellular operators.
"Besides the service being an obvious customer draw-card, the solution also provides business owners with a revenue stream. Businesses will benefit from the use of the solution as 30% of the income will be handed back to them."
He added: "As WiFi access takes off in SA, businesses that have taken the first step will be positioned as forward-thinking. Ultimately offering visitors exactly what they want and need."
Commenting on the technology powering the solution, he said: "There are no complicated hardware configuration problems when customers connect, making it easy for them to use."
DataPro has already installed this solution at the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction.
