JSE-listed networking and IT services group Datatec has announced that Logicalis Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Datatec International, has acquired 100% of the issued share capital of Notability Solutions.

Following the acquisition, Logicalis Group`s businesses in the UK will have combined annualised revenues of approximately lb75 million.

Datatec says that following the disposal of the Logicalis Australia and New Zealand businesses in March last year, Logicalis set out its strategy to focus on its UK and US operations so as to attain greater critical mass.

The Notability acquisition is in line with Logicalis Group`s strategy to build a provider of ICT solutions in the UK that can deliver end-to-end networking integration and enterprise computing solutions capabilities.

Based near London, Notability employs 60 staff members and specialises in the supply and integration of IT solutions. It is one of 13 accredited IBM premier in the UK and one of seven eServer-iSeries premier partners in the UK.

Datatec has received South African Reserve approval for the acquisition. Datatec is funding the acquisition using group cash resources and the issue of new Datatec ordinary shares to Notability vendors.
