Dax Data announces OnWeb products

By PR Connections
Johannesburg, 01 Mar 2000

Enterprise specialist and local distributor of the NetManage range of RUMBA products, Dax , has announced a line of eBusiness solutions that will allow organisations to extend and integrate existing applications and information to the Web. Jeremy Matthews, MD of Dax , says the new products can help to streamline business processes, making critical information available to dealers, resellers, business partners and customers, while maximising the investment in existing applications. "Users benefit from a range of solutions that share a common management platform and include NetManage`s built-in real-time support capability."

The new products will be available under the NetManage OnWeb brand and form part of NetManage`s eN2000 eBusiness Framework, which ensures co-existence and compatibility with the company`s existing desktop, server, and Web-to-Host solutions.

"The OnWeb suite results from an infusion of technology after NetManage acquired Wall Data late last year and Simware a few months earlier. It facilitates development of new applications that capitalise on existing single or multiple data sources and simplifies Host-to-Web publishing by making applications freely available to internal or external users via a Web browser," says Matthews.

"Equipped with straightforward configuration options and a graphical, business rules-based development environment, the family of products enables businesses to take full advantage of the Internet economy," he adds.

The NetManage OnWeb solutions for eBusiness will initially consist of OnWeb eBusiness Integrator, OnWeb eBusiness Development Kit and OnWeb ePublisher. The portfolio will scale to tens of thousands of users and be able to handle multiple information sources.

OnWeb eBusiness Integrator will also support fault-tolerant operation and load balancing, making it suitable for mission-critical line-of-business applications.
