DbProtect integrates with McAfee

Application Security, a provider of database security solutions for the enterprise, reveals that its flagship solution, DbProtect, is now integrated with McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator software, says Market Watch.

The integrated solution allows McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator software to deploy DbProtect agents, resulting in a seamless link between DbProtect's real-time database vulnerability and activity monitoring, and McAfee's incident response capabilities.

"We welcome Application Security as a McAfee compatible partner in the Security Innovation Alliance and believe that integration with DbProtect will provide organisations with improved levels of defence against threats to the database," says Joe Gottlieb, VP of corporate strategy and technology alliances at McAfee.

Autonomy, a global provider in infrastructure software for enterprises, has unveiled Autonomy ControlPoint, an information governance solution for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, reports Market Watch.

ControlPoint is the industry's first information governance solution that enables real-time, policy-driven control of all SharePoint content.

Autonomy ControlPoint uses a centralised policy hub to enforce governance control across distributed networks, an increasingly critical function given that SharePoint servers are typically distributed throughout the enterprise.

Security Weaver, a provider of application controls management software for use with SAP applications, and SPV America, a provider of business and technology risk consulting services, will showcase Security Weaver's compliance suite at Systems 2008, in Munich, Germany, says DBusiness News.

The companies have partnered to provide governance, risk and compliance solutions to global enterprises such as Siemens AG.

Specialists from both companies will provide expertise and tips on fast, efficient implementation of risk and access management solutions specifically for SAP users.
