DeARX Services announces release of Exodus-ADF Migration Tool for Oracle Forms

Johannesburg, 13 Jul 2005

DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd in partnership with CipherSoft Inc, a global leader in conversion tools and services, today announced the launch of Exodus-ADF, the newest release of its family of Exodus migration tools. This release of Exodus is designed to migrate Oracle Forms to Oracle`s Application Development Framework (ADF).

Exodus-ADF is an innovative conversion product that automates the migration of Oracle Forms to Oracle ADF, including Oracle Menus, Libraries, Triggers and all semantic content. By streamlining the process of conversion, Exodus significantly reduces the costs associated with manually converting legacy software.

The converted application keeps its original look-and-feel, is fully maintainable, portable and contains no wrappers - providing fast deployment with very little impact on business operations. By utilising the Exodus product, Oracle customers can quickly and efficiently migrate their Oracle Forms applications to the Oracle 10g environment to take advantage of its extensive capabilities for enterprise applications.

"We are very excited about the ongoing synergistic relationship with Oracle," said Andre van Heerden, Managing Director of DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd. "As an Oracle Migration Partner, providing best of breed migration solutions to the South African marketplace is one of the focus areas of DeARX. Strengthening the Ciphersoft product offering to include Exodus-ADF will provide many Oracle customers with a quick, cost-efficient migration from Oracle Forms to Oracle ADF.

Oracle`s Vice-President of Application Development Tools, Christophe Job, said: "Oracle ADF is the best J2EE solution for Forms customers because many of the concepts and ideas present in Oracle Forms are also incorporated into Oracle ADF. Exodus-ADF from CipherSoft will help you migrate Forms applications to the same technology stack being used in Oracle E-Business Suite, allowing developers to productively build enterprise-class applications that can then be deployed and managed on Oracle Application Server 10g."
