Corporate telephony provider Definity Telecommunications has established a consulting division aimed at helping large enterprises to outsource all of their telecoms needs to Definity.
The new division, Definity Telecom Service Provider (DTSP), will provide organisations with full consultancy around their telecoms needs, says DTSP director Greg Rood.
He adds that DTSP is able to perform a full cost analysis on current voice traffic or telephony spend, as well as roll-out and support telecoms infrastructure if needed.
"The reason we have chosen to offer implementation and support services together with our analysis capabilities is due to the fact that too many consultancy houses deliver efficient reports, but fail to actually help or guide an organisation when it comes to delivery or implementation," Rood says.
"This has left many businesses jaded by the organisations as they merely receive a report but no hands-on direction."
DTSP also offers the local enterprise sector the ability to access SMS applications over various platforms. Rood says the division aims at delivering integrated voice solutions over any protocol or platform via one company, alleviating the need to interface with several service providers.
The division recently won a contract from Sun International to perform a full analysis of its voice traffic across the group`s entire chain of resorts, call centres and sales officers.
"As a result of the cost analysis undertaken and the subsequent recommendations, we secured the full installation and support of their international voice routing to approximately 15 sites," Rood says.
