Delivering tech that makes the most of Intel's Haswell architecture

The promises made by Intel's fourth generation Core processors are exactly what the market needs to hear - power, performance, battery efficiency, reduced weight and cost-effective. Embedded within the complexities of these new chips is a wealth of potential, and HP has made sure its next generation of devices make the best possible use of what it has to offer.

"HP has developed a range of products that ensure they meet the needs of the most demanding customers, delivering performance without compromise and with all the right features for the business and consumer," says Sophia Evans, GM, HP PSG at Tarsus Technologies. "The market demands productivity, flexibility and innovation, and HP has focused on meeting these needs with its latest range of products that include the Haswell architecture."

For the enterprise, the HP Z family of products has been engineered to the highest possible standards for customers which need reliability and complete performance dependability. The HP ZBook Mobile is an example of how this company has taken the Haswell chip and used it to achieve remarkable results and demonstrate best practice in the use of technology.

"The HP ZBook Mobile is a world first and one that completely understands the value of the Haswell architecture," says Evans. "Designed for both desktop and mobile, this is the first workstation Ultrabook ever and complies with the increased Ultrabook certification requirements of touch-screen, three second boot times and speedier storage and security."

HP's understanding of the market in developing solutions designed to make the most of available architecture is underscored by a recent Gartner* report that revealed that HP continues to hold onto first place in the PC vendor market. In light of how rapidly the PC arena is changing, this is no mean feat and HP continues to innovate in the field with a range of hybrid and desktop solutions that take the Intel "tock" to the next level.

The HP Chromebook 14 is another new release and here you can see more than the power/battery/performance indicators of Haswell. It obviously includes the values you'd expect from a fourth generation Intel Core processor as well as making the most of the improved graphics and longer video playback times. Ideally suited for both the home and business markets, these colourful new notebooks include USB 3.0 and weigh in at a mere 1.8kg, ideal for work, play and entertainment. "HP has created solutions for the desktop, mobile and all-in-one markets that are reliable, trusted and built to meet their high standards," concludes Evans. "Known for their passion for innovation, HP has ensured that their Haswell devices comply with market requirements."

With a new world first, a range of new Chromebooks and the impressive HP ENVY Recline all-in-one touch-screen PC appearing on the market over the next few months, HP looks ready to set new standards in performance and design, especially when it comes to harnessing the power of the new Haswell chips.
