Dell EMC today announced Doug Woolley will take on the leadership of Dell EMC South Africa in February 2017.
Woolley joined Dell as GM in 2015, after spending four years at Business Connexion as group executive focused on the successful restructuring of the company's technology division. He has extensive knowledge of the IT services industry, with over 20 years of experience and a track record of business growth and strong leadership.
In his new role, Woolley will be responsible for driving Dell EMC's momentum in the region and extending the existing customer and partner base.
"I'm excited about pursuing the opportunities for growth in South Africa and helping to position Dell EMC as a partner for organisations to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information. I look forward to working with the entire Dell EMC team to achieve our long-term objectives in the region," says Woolley.
Dell global acquired data storage firm EMC late last year, for $67 billion. The deal created the world's largest privately controlled, integrated technology company.
