Dell SA has introduced a 19-inch flat-panel monitor, the first of its size and kind to be offered to Dell customers. The Dell 1900FP greatly improves viewing area compared with traditional 19-inch cathode-ray tube (CRT) monitors, and allows for viewing angles of up to 85 degrees from all sides of the monitor.
According to Leigh Hancock, product-marketing manager at Dell SA, South African customers can purchase it when ordered with a system or as a stand-alone customer kit through Dell Software and Peripherals.
The 1900FP`s bezel frames the 16.4-inch wide display with thin three-fourths inch borders, making it ideal for financial trading floors where several flat panels can be placed side-by side to create more room for trading positions. "Its 19-inch diagonal viewing area is nearly as large as that of a 21-inch CRT," adds Hancock.
The 1900FP is one of a wide range of entry-level to high performance CRT and flat panel display monitors that are convenient to buy, easy to install and matched to other Dell products. All monitors are rigorously tested and come with Dell service and support. This midnight gray monitor, with an ion silver bezel, is exclusive to Dell.
