Dell today introduced its line of PowerConnect network switches to the EMEA region, including SA. They are designed for the growing demand from small to large enterprise customers for reliable networking products at affordable prices.
The family of local area network (LAN) switches, which is available from today, offers customers outstanding performance and reliability and also enables them to buy Dell networking products along with Dell servers, desktops, notebooks and storage products.
A network switch connects a LAN, sending information directly to the computer for which it is intended, without broadcasting it to all systems on the network. The PowerConnect family of switches is ideal for businesses connecting client workgroups to servers or establishing LANs in branch offices. The launch will be supported with a heightened press and promotional campaign throughout EMEA targeted at small and medium businesses, as well as large enterprises.
"Both our large and small customers say they want affordable networking products that are easy to install and manage," said Sean Wainer, enterprise product manager of Dell South Africa. "Standards have emerged in Ethernet networking technologies and Dell has leveraged those standards to provide our customers with flexible, reliable products at what we believe is the best value in the industry."
