Dell lights the way with its brightest, high-resolution projector

New projector from Dell offers exceptional performance and value in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
Johannesburg, 31 Oct 2005

Dell has announced the 5100MP projector aimed at medium and large businesses across EMEA. It is Dell`s brightest and highest resolution projector to date and is easy to configure, deploy and manage. Ideal for data and multimedia presentations, the 5100MP projector is available now at R22 490.

Outstanding operation

The 5100MP projector has an outstanding SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution, 3300 ANSI lumens (max) brightness and a 2500:1 contrast ratio for superior image definition and clarity. Weighing only 3.72kg, this sleek, black and silver designed projector blends into any professional environment. The 5100MP is ideal for large corporates looking for a high performance, full-featured projector, suitable for use in large boardrooms, auditoriums or classrooms.

With a noise level of only 31dBA in eco-mode, the projector runs quietly while producing excellent sound quality through its two internal two-watt speakers. The 5100MP projector is perfect for corporate customers who want the maximum return on investment and are looking for optimal video, best connectivity and enhanced viewing experience.

"Premium business customers are demanding presentation tools that are high-end and full-featured but at an affordable price," said Gavin Slevin, Client Product Manager, Dell South Africa.

"The 5100MP projector provides all the features, power and performance that our customers are looking for, offering the ideal balance between performance and price."

Wide range of accompanying accessories

The 5100MP projector offers the most comprehensive connectivity options in the Dell projector range and includes an RJ-45 port for network-based monitoring and troubleshooting. Other ports include HDMI, composite, VGA, M1 and S-Video, among others. Preset and manual video and graphics modes help ensure optimal colour performance, regardless of content displayed.

Automatic vertical keystone correction technology helps ensure a symmetrical image is displayed even when the projector is positioned at an angle to the screen.

The 5100MP comes in a sturdy magnesium-alloy chassis with silver accents and flexible installation options. Users can mount it to a ceiling (with optional ceiling mount kit), project from behind a screen or use it with a notebook or desktop system.

The Dell 5100MP projector ships with a two-year next business day exchange service warranty (90-days on the projector bulb) and is now available across Europe, Middle East and Africa. More information and specifications can be found at www.dell.co.za.
