Dell releases printers for SMEs
Dell unveiled eight new black-and-white printers, including two multifunction and two single function printers, writes Information Week.
The company says it's targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the release of the Round Rock line. The company says the laser printers in the 3 series are designed for SMEs that want to deliver value without eliminating too many appealing features.
Tim Peters, vice-president of imaging at Dell, says: "These new multifunction printers bring businesses closer to a paperless office and transform digital collaboration in the workplace.
C&R Print closes
C&R Print has closed after five months after accusations of blackballing from rival firms, says PrintWeek.
“Before they did the deal, the directors of C&R Print spoke to suppliers and felt there was a core business to go forward with,” says John Gordon, managing partner at Napier & Sons. “But literally the day the company was purchased, they were blackballed by printers in the market. Printers put pressure on suppliers and nobody would support them.”
The company recently bought the assets of failed Belfast printer Graham & Heslip, but is expected to appoint a liquidator by mid April.
