Delta Energy & Communications to unveil hardware and software solutions at DistribuTECH Africa

Delta Energy & Communications, a leading smart grid energy solutions provider, will preview its latest product offerings, the Intelligent Advanced Metering Infrastructure (iAMI), and the Intelligent Transformer Modules (iTM), at DistribuTECH Africa 2015 in Johannesburg, 15-17 July. The new additions complete Delta Smart Grid Network (DSGN), which also include its flagship product, the Intelligent Distribution Analytics Platform (iDAP). Each solution can be used separately or can be combined to allow electric, water and gas utilities ensure the parsing and simplification of Big Data associated with load, voltage and power quality events.

Sub-Saharan Africa electricity sector is expected to require $835 billion in capital investments by 2040 in order to meet the continent increasing demand for electricity. And some of the most promising solutions for developing regions, like sub-Saharan Africa, are those that work with the cloud. Solutions like the DSGN are more affordable and simpler to integrate in old and new infrastructures.

* The Intelligent Advanced Metering Infrastructure (iAMI) is an industry leading 2.4GHz architecture offering that increases meter reading efficiency, improves revenue cycle process and enhances revenue management and customer service effectiveness. Being meter-agnostic, its universal design is installable across meter brands so that it can be supportive of a utility preferred meter supplier and can be deployed across large or small geographical areas.
* Intelligent Transformer Module (iTM) is a retro-fittable transformer module that delivers real-time transformer monitoring. Its comprehensive data capture and communications makes it a single sensor source that can eliminate costly transformer testing. The module is easy to install on common transformer designs and fits pole, pad mount and vault transformers, while its robust, human factors centric enclosure and packaging ensures years of operational service in even the harshest environments.
* Intelligent Distribution Analytics Platform (iDAP) is a big data simplification software that delivers a single source analytics tool for decreasing system costs, increasing operational efficiency and enhancing utility revenue. Its graphical user interface (GUI) has prediction & identification capabilities and provides actionable and innovative GUI representations.
