Demand for enterprise content management exploding

Johannesburg, 03 Mar 2008

The market demand for enterprise content management (ECM) services has grown explosively during 2007, and there is no sign that this trend is slowing down.

According to Michelle Momberg, Managing Director of NokusaEI, the leading ECM consulting company is experiencing massive growth in demand for all its services, and has re-organised to ensure it is in a position to provide clients with the best possible service.

NokusaEI has been appointed the South African representative of AIIM, the international authority on ECM, and presents the whole range of internationally recognised AIIM certificate programmes locally. To accommodate the courses, the company moved to new premises in Randburg that includes a dedicated state of the art training facility.

The ECM Strategy Division of NokusaEI has been experiencing a huge demand for its product-independent consulting expertise, and has significantly strengthened its delivery capability after winning substantial new business.

NokusaEI was recently appointed as the only SAP Special Expertise Partner in ECM - a significant step in the increased recognition of the ECM capabilities embedded in the SAP system. NokusaEI has been the winner of the prestigious SAP Special Expertise Service Partner of the year award for two of the last three years.

Due to a desperate need for expertise in industry for document imaging solutions relating to SAP transactions (eg, accounts receivables, HR, etc) NokusaEI has strengthened its group focusing on these technologies significantly. NokusaEI specialises in assisting clients in interfacing SAP with various document scanning solutions, eg, EASY Software, Kofax Ascent Capture, etc.

Probably the most exciting development has been the decision by NokusaEI to invest significantly in international expansion. The company has a significant track record in Australia, where it has undertaken several major projects over the past five years and has an excellent reputation. To fully capitalise on the huge potential for ECM services in Australasia, the company has decided to relocate its founder and previous MD, Abie Spies, to Australia with a view to establishing an operation there that mirrors the South African operation.

According to Spies, the Australian operation of NokusaEI, Engineering Informatics, is on a sound footing and poised for spectacular growth in a market that is rapidly awakening to the need for ECM.

Plans for further international expansion are also in the pipeline.
