X-Solutions, the southern African distributor of NCD products, has appointed DEXTER IT Support as a VAR for NCD`s complete range of ThinStar thin client products.
NCD is a leading manufacturer of integrated thin client hardware and software.
Rouxle van Molendorff, MD of DEXTER IT Support, a subsidiary of DEXGROUP, says the appointment enables DEXTER IT Support to live up to its promise of providing a total IT solution.
"Although we will target all industry sectors with NCD`s products, we will concentrate on the insurance and financial industries not only because of our experience in these sectors, but also because we believe thin client technology is ideal for these environments," she adds.
Paul Oosthuizen, sales and technical director for X-Solutions, says there are strict criteria that VARs have to comply with when selling and supporting NCD products.
"DEXTER IT Support demonstrated enthusiasm for the product set and its knowledge and experience of the insurance industry will enable NCD to get into new markets," he says.
X-Solutions and DEXTER IT Support also plan to partner on the support offerings for NCD products, using DEX`s existing, extensive call centre infrastructure to provide 24x7x365 support. Van Molendorff says this agreement will extend to X-Solutions` other clients as well.
