Local IT support firm Dial a Nerd has announced a merger deal with South African connectivity services provider Turrito Networks.
After working together for the past two years to expand Dial a Nerd's presence and services, the companies made the decision to merge in 2017.
"Our goal has always been to provide a more holistic IT service, and this merger acts as a powerful enabler for this vision," says Colin Thornton, co-managing director, Dial a Nerd and Turrito Networks.
"Turrito Networks provides niche Internet services outside of your local network and Dial a Nerd provides all the IT support within it. It's a powerful partnership and one that truly benefits the end-user."
The merge will create one organisation that will be capable, according to Thornton, of delivering and supporting all aspects of IT and communication - from a laptop through to a fibre connected geo-redundant hybrid-cloud solution.
The merger means this type of end-to-end service, typically reserved for enterprise clients, will be available to SMMEs, mid-market organisations and schools.
For existing customers of both companies, Thornton notes there will be no disruption or changes to the service.
