DiData denies rumours of board level changes

Johannesburg, 26 Nov 2003

Contrary to reports in certain segments of the media, which suggest there will be changes at board level at Dimension , the company has stated that there is nothing of that nature taking place at present.

DiData announced several months ago that at some unspecified time in the future, the chairman and CEO roles would be split and a new CEO would be appointed. It seems that this statement is the source of the current media reports.

It has been speculated that when this eventually occurs, the company would bring in an outside candidate with international experience, a "Lou Gerstner type" - in reference to the man who turned IBM around.

The other possibility has been an internal candidate, with chief operating officer Brett Dawson highly rated, should the organisation promote from within.

According to a DiData spokesman, who asked not to be quoted directly, there is nothing new on the cards as far as this goes.

DiData has reiterated that at some point it will be appointing a CEO, and a number of various candidates have been surveyed, but no announcement is pending and there are no changes taking place at board level.

JSE listing requirements appear to bear this out, as any board level changes to a listed company have to be announced on the Stock Exchange News (SENS), and no such announcement has been made on SENS as of yet.
