London-listed Dimension Data has signed a multi-year contract with Anne Arundel Medical Centre, the premier regional healthcare provider serving Anne Arundel and surrounding Maryland counties in the US.
The Anne Arundel Medical Centre (AAMC), a subsidiary of Anne Arundel Health System, Inc, is a not-for-profit healthcare organisation, licensed and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Health Care Organisations.
"We needed an integration partner that could apply a technology-based solution to seamlessly design, implement and migrate our data centre to our new Medical Park Campus. As our strategic partner, Dimension Data is capable of delivering this solution and to remotely manage the infrastructure once deployed through its Global Services Operating Architecture," says Doug Goodman, CIO, AAMC.
Under the contract, Dimension Data will standardise, modernise and upgrade AAMC`s networking systems and infrastructure over the next five to 10 years. The new network will provide the technological foundation to address the centre`s entire functional, departmental, and technical requirements. Once deployed, the robust network infrastructure will carry AAMC into the next decade.
Dimension Data will provide round-the-clock remote, online monitoring and proactive management of AAMC`s mission-critical network through the group`s unique Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA).
