DIGIform, a sub-Saharan distributor of Cardiff, a division of Autonomy Corporation (LSE: AU. or AU.L) and leading provider of intelligent document solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Cardiff LiquidOffice Version 5.0 (v5).

LiquidOffice encompasses the entire business process management (BPM) life cycle from process design and simulation to deployment and optimisation.

However, it goes well beyond traditional process management. LiquidOffice embeds intelligence within forms and documents, enabling them to securely and automatically navigate the process between people and systems, offering visibility into each step of the process and a complete audit trail.

LiquidOffice is a cornerstone element of the Cardiff Intelligent Document platform, which offers the industry's most comprehensive and versatile information capture and BPM capabilities. Cardiff Intelligent Documents streamline and simplify the complex maze between people, documents and processes that are critical to businesses, with a flexible and scalable architecture and no barriers between paper, online and mobile information.

Cardiff Intelligent Document is the information and process on-ramp to the enterprise, dramatically reducing costs, shrinking process cycles and offering complete visibility into business process status at every step.

Features and benefits of LiquidOffice include:

EForms - Cardiff LiquidOffice eForms is a powerful, Web-based software solution for creating, deploying and automatically managing the routing, tracking and approval processes for electronic forms.

Mobile support - LiquidOffice Mobile revolutionises how people access and influence in-flight business processes and real-time data using mobile devices.

Outlook integration - LiquidOffice integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook.

Dynamic packets - Based on the information that a user provides in either a paper or online form or document, LiquidOffice automatically and dynamically creates a packet of relevant forms and documents. Business rules combined with the user's information dictate what forms and documents are included in the packet, what pages are included in each of the forms, what fields are included on each page and how the information in the packet is routed.

Digital signatures - LiquidOffice supports three levels of digital approval and signatures.

Wizard forms and form chaining - LiquidOffice provides the capability to create forms that step a user through a series of directed questions.

Embedded bar codes - LiquidOffice generates 1D or 2D bar codes on forms and populates the bar codes with field data. Users can then fill out a form online, print it, and when faxed, mailed or scanned in, LiquidOffice automatically recognises the form and data via the bar code, and easily pushes the form and data back into the process.

Dynamic forms - LiquidOffice allows users to dynamically add rows of data entry fields to a table on a form.

With LiquidOffice v5, Cardiff has improved flexibility, enabling processes to dynamically and automatically change course based on business conditions, while maintaining complete audit-ability and visibility at all times, regardless of whether process steps occur on paper, within a browser or on a wireless mobile device.

It is no longer necessary for organisations to attempt to predefine all of their business processes before taking advantage of automation. In addition to providing tools for the point-and-click specification of business rules, LiquidOffice v5 now delivers a significantly expanded API which will allow systems integrators to build business process and information capture applications that are tailored to meet their customers' needs, no matter how specialised.
