Digital Innovations offers laptop radiation shielding

Digital Innovations, a provider of high-quality, innovative consumer electronics accessories and computer peripherals, has revealed LapGuard with radiation shielding, Globe News Wire reports.

LapGuard is a laptop radiation shield that doubles as a laptop cooling pad and/or lap desk. It is the first product of its kind in the consumer electronics industry.

According to HealthTechZone, Digital Innovations CEO Collin Anderson explained that laptop radiation is a growing concern among consumers.

According to a recent third-party survey commissioned by the company, more than half of all laptop computer users are concerned about radiation emitted from laptops when using them on their laps.

“Recent reporting in magazines such as Women's Health and Men's Journal suggest that radiation and heat emitted from WiFi-enabled laptop computers can be harmful to reproductive health,” says Anderson.

To the casual observer, LapGuard looks like a high-quality lap desk. It features dual USB-powered fans to help keep the computer's internal processors cool, Yahoo News notes.

It also features breathable padding on the underside to promote airflow to the computer, and also keeps the user's lap cool and comfortable.

It features a heavily-padded, wedge-shaped design that promotes typing comfort, and a retractable USB cable for easy cable management.
