ITWeb's digital lifestyle exhibition, DigitalLife, which will debut in April next year, has signed up Tarsus Technologies as the exclusive sponsor for its Digital Retail Store.
The Digital Retail Store is one of the biggest draw-cards for visitors to the exhibition, which will run from 18-20 April 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
The sponsorship gives Tarsus exclusive ownership of the retail area, where it will offer show specials, discounts and promotions for visitors wanting to purchase the tech gadgets and other goods on offer, there and then.
"Over the past few years we have been predicting the convergence of technology between consumer goods and business IT," says James Scott, director of Tarsus Technologies. "It has finally happened - there are lots of exciting consumer and 'prosumer' products available, and the exhibition is the ideal place to show them off."
Scott says the current retail market does not offer these products. "The typical 'audio visual' shops are still offering the traditional AV products and the computer shops are still focused on PCs and printers, so it's pretty difficult to get new age products into the public eye."
DigitalLife is the ideal opportunity to educate the public and showcase the new digital lifestyle products that are available, says Scott.
"Our focus will be on HP products, including digital cameras, photo printers and the popular Pavilion range of notebooks and desktops. We'll demonstrate how they all integrate with one another and other technologies to support and enhance a digital lifestyle," says Scott.
DigitalLife is ITWeb's debut in the exhibition world and will feature the best of what the consumer electronics, gaming and entertainment industries have on offer.
"Our intention is to complement and complete our activities in the digital lifestyle space that we have with our monthly magazine Unwired and our social networking Web site My Digital Life," says Jovan Regasek, CEO and founder of ITWeb.
The exhibition aims to create an event platform for top consumer brands and digital service providers to interact with consumers, showing them not only the latest and greatest in the digital world, but also how those diverse digital lifestyle technologies work together for an ultimate digital lifestyle experience.
