Mall, a multichannel commerce solutions provider, has entered a joint venture agreement with interaction specialist Inter-Active Technologies.

The 50/50 joint venture, Digital Inter-Active, brings to three the number of contact centres in the Digital Mall Holdings stable, says Digital Mall CEO Yaron Assabi.

He says Digital Inter-Active has been designed to blend into a customer`s business, becoming an extension of its customer services and to provide a total content delivery portal.

"We take it one step further," he adds. "We can capitalise on our expertise for clients because we have a different management methodology."

He says the venture brings a new dimension to the industry, with unique technology and offering such services as analytics, managed services and recovery.

Assabi says the Digital Inter-Active call centre, which has 48 seats, is projected to grow to 150 seats by the middle of next year in line with client requirements.

He adds that Inter-Active is an empowered company.

Inter-Active Technologies CEO Brendan van Staaden says most local call centres are inbound service centres, but the new venture will address true telemarketing and direct customer service needs.

"We have structured our contact centre operation into lines of business to focus on goal-specific and brand-dedicated interaction across these lines of business, specialising in finance and insurance, hospitality and travel, security and emergency services, telcos, and of course the mobile network giants in southern Africa and Africa."
