London-listed Dimension Data has been appointed as a Cisco Global Support Partner - the highest recognition the US-based network vendor can accord its networking solutions partners.
The appointment follows Dimension Data`s attaining Cisco Gold Partner Certification on five continents (US, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia) and the successful roll out of its innovative Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA) which enables it to offer anywhere, anytime network services and support.
"This is an outstanding accomplishment for Dimension Data and demonstrates their commitment to supporting and servicing Cisco solutions, continuing their expansion as a world class networking solutions integrator. A key factor was the innovation that Dimension Data has shown in the Network Services arena, in particular, the GSOA launched earlier this year," explains Paris G. The Cisco Global Support Partner programme certifies a Partner`s global logistics capabilities and ability to support their Cisco customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide. Global Support Partners must also be able to provide this support in both English and the customer`s local language.
According to Bruce Watson, Dimension Data Global MD Network Services, Dimension Data, in fact, exceeds a Cisco Global Support Partner certification requirement to have not less than 30 Cisco Certified Internetworking Experts (CCIEs) and 60 Cisco Certified Networking Professionals (CCNPs) available to properly install, operate and support Cisco solutions around the world.
Dimension Data, which Cisco acknowledges as its largest systems integrator both inside and outside the United States, currently employs more CCIEs and CCNPs worldwide than any other organisation, with the exception of Cisco itself.
