Dimension Data has boosted its service offerings within the enterprise environment by meeting the stringent conditions required to become an accredited Compaq Authorised Service Provider (ASP) for the Commercial, Intel and StorageWorks sub-accreditations.
According to Frans Nijeboer, Business Development Manager: Enterprise Systems at Dimension Data, the upgrading of Dimension Data`s status from a Compaq Enterprise Reseller to include the Compaq ASP accreditation highlights the company`s proven capability to supply a complete range of services on all Compaq equipment throughout South Africa.
"In addition to the pre-sales and installation services already provided by Dimension Data on Compaq products and technologies, we can now deliver a comprehensive post-sales service in the field, including the supply of parts, meeting Compaq Warranty and other Service Level Agreement (SLA) based obligations," he explains.
And by leveraging the services based around Dimension Data`s unique Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA), the Group can also provide corporate Compaq users with unmatched proactive maintenance and support services.
"The Dimension Data GSOA Control Centres enable us to monitor Compaq equipment remotely. We are equipped to detect and pre-empt problems on mission-critical Compaq equipment before the fault turns into a real problem which could cause equipment to fail. In this way we can virtually eliminate downtime," Nijeboer concludes.
