Dimension Data, a global specialist IT services and solution provider, headquartered in South Africa, today announced the opening of its office in the Czech Republic.
Entry to the Czech market reflects the increasing importance of this region to Dimension Data`s European strategy. Dimension Data Czech Republic forms part of Dimension Data Europe, which is one of five operational regions of Dimension Data. Derek Cummins (37) has been appointed to the role of country manager of the newly established unit.
"Rapid development of the ICT market in the Czech Republic is one of the reasons why we have made a decision to establish a presence here. Many of our global clients have a presence in the Czech Republic so it is important that we are able to service our clients locally. As a global Company, while we ensure the delivery of global best practice, we realise the importance of local knowledge and execution. There is also an opportunity for new business here in the Czech Republic which requires feet on the ground," said Russell Bolan, CEO, Dimension Data Europe.
